missing carlie

Well the newly wed Carlie Schick is blowing up the blogosphere and I couldn't leave her out of mine! I sadly cannot find one picture of her and I which will be remedied soon but here she is enjoying our fellow love of candy!!!


She and I have been spending time together almost weekly for 1.5 years. It has been such a time of growth, fun, encouragement and challenging words (in a good way)! This summer she moved in with Michael and I and we got to spend even more time together seeing each other's daily lives, bad days, good days, living in the midst of wedding planning and the hardest summer of my life. I was so grateful to have her here. She was a lifesaver playing with John or babysitting at a moment's notice, she was so intentional in asking questions and caring about how I was doing, she was great at doing dishes and we truly love her a lot. I will miss our dinners together once a week and our morning chats while we are still waking up but I am so glad that I got to walk beside her this summer and share in the daily life and I am looking forward to encouraging her as a wife and teacher and homemaker.
